Governments must move beyond e-Government
Think big, go beyond in the strategy design for ICT development. It's the advice from the last article published by IDBC. It bases on Accenture's report, "Leadership in Customer Service: New Expectations, New Experiences"
It has arrived the moment in which the citizens every time demand more services than the governments offer. Therefore, in order to dont disappoint those expectations of improvement they have to consider e-Government as one more piece. The government has to be an integrator unity, has to strengthen the areas of the citizens service. Only those who take the citizen as their main goal will know how to create an added value.
In conclusion, the governments must not focus only their effort on the on-line channel. They have to develop all of them and take them into account. Government has to tailor services for the citizen.
So many things have to be changed!
